The Novell ZENworks Patch Management Agent (also known as the 'PatchLink' agent) hasn't changed in ZENworks 7 SP1, but here are some details how to deploy it.

On your ZENworks Patch Management webserver, you will find an 'updateagent.msi' package in the /Download directory. This MSI is easy to deploy. When you create a Transform file, you only need to configure two public properties:

HOST - which  contains the IP address of DNS name of the ZENworks Patch Management Server

SERIAL - which must (!) contain a valid serialnumber. This license will be validated. If it's not valid, the agent will not install.

 Test this MSI and Transform file by using msiexec /i updateagent.msi TRANSFORMS=updateagent.mst  /qb

If the testing was successful, create a ZENworks 'Install Only" application object and distribute it to your users.
