Adobe has released Adobe Reader 7.0.8. This version fixes a memory leak, various reader crashes and several security bugs (one of them was critical). More information in the

Deployment is easy: 

• Download and run 'AcbeRdr708_en_US.exe'. Wait for the FEAD optimizer to continue, wait for the 'Adobe Reader 7.0.8 - Setup' screen, then click 'Next'.
  
  
• The C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 7.0\Setup Files\RdrBig708\ENU directory now contains the setup files for 'Adobe Reader 7.0.8'. Copy these files (files like 'Adobe Reader 7.0.8.msi', 'Data1.cab' and 'Rdr70.itw') to your ZENworks distribution server.
  
  
• Go back to the 'Adobe Reader 7.0.8 - Setup' screen, cancel the installation and click 'Finish'.
  
  
• Download and install the "InstallShield Tuner 7.0 for Adobe Acrobat". This tuner provides a "graphical interface to Acrobat's Windows Installer and enables IT administrators to make modifications to the installer via a Transform File. These modifications customize the Acrobat installer and the look and feel of Acrobat before deployment. These modifications can run anytime, anywhere, throughout the enterprise, whether the install is pulled from a server or pushed silently". Cool huh? So, instead of tweaking the registry, like for Acrobat Reader 6 , you can now easily prevent updating and popping up the EULA license agreement screens by using this tuner.
  
  
• Start the "InstallShield Tuner 7.0 for Adobe Acrobat". Select the Rdr70.itw in the directory you copied your Adobe Reader 7.0.8 setup files to.
  
  
• Select 'Create new transform', select the "Adobe Reader 7.0.8.msi" and "Adobe Reader 7.0.8.mst" for the transform file. Then click on 'create'.
  
  
• On the left side of the screen click on 'Application Configuration', 'Preferences':
  
  Select 'Suppress display of End User License Agreement (EULA)' in the EULA section.
  Select 'Disable all Updates' in the Online Features section.
  
  
• Because we use ZENworks to provide (NAL) shortcuts to the users:
  
  On the left side of the screen click on 'System Configuration', 'Shortcuts':
  
  Under 'Desktop Shortcuts' tick the 'Adobe Reader 7.0' checkbox
  Under 'Menu Shortcuts' tick the 'Adobe Reader 7.0' checkbox
  
  Select File, Save or click on the 'Save' icon on the taskbar. You will see these messages in the lower part of your screen:
