Adobe has released Adobe Shockwave 11.5.6.606, because critical vulnerabilities have been identified in Adobe Shockwave Player 11.5.2.602 and earlier versions. The vulnerabilities (more info here and here) could allow an attacker, who successfully exploits the vulnerabilities, to run malicious code on the affected system. Adobe has provided a solution for the reported vulnerabilities. It is recommended that users update their installations to the latest version using the instructions provided below. At the "Shockwave Player Download Center" you can find a legacy setup by default. But, and this isn't mentioned at all at the download page, if you apply for a 'Adobe Shockwave Player Distribution License' you can get a Windows Installer package instead.
Visit the "Adobe Runtime Licensing" page", scroll to the "Distribute Adobe Web Players" section and click 'Learn More'. Then scroll to the 'Apply for a license section' and click 'License Shockwave Player '. Create a Adobe membership account if you don't have one (don't be scared ... it's free) by entering an e-mail address. Then login. On the 'Shockwave Player Distribution Downloads' page, you can download three installers:
You, of course, need the last link to the 'MSI Installer'.
