Adobe Flash Player 11.1.102.55 |
|
Monday, 14 November 2011 17:47 |
|
Adobe has released 'Adobe Flash Player version 11.1.102.55' which includes security enhancements described in Security Bulletin APSB11-28.
Adobe Flash Player 11 brings many improvements that will change the type of content you see on the web. Just like Flash Player 7 changed the web with the introduction of progressive video, or ActionScript 3 changed the way developers develop Flash content, Flash Player 11 brings the experience on the web to a whole different level, mainly with the introduction of 3D GPU acceleration, known as Stage 3D. This is a great list of significant features introduced in Flash Player 11.
To verify the Adobe Flash Player version number installed on your system, access the About Flash Player page, or right-click on content running in Flash Player and select "About Adobe (or Macromedia) Flash Player" from the menu. If you use multiple browsers, perform the check for each browser you have installed on your system.

Adobe released Adobe Reader 10.1.0 because critical vulnerabilities have been identified in Adobe Reader X (10.0.1) and earlier versions for Windows, Adobe Reader X (10.0.3) and earlier versions for Macintosh, and Adobe Acrobat X (10.0.3) and earlier versions for Windows and Macintosh. These vulnerabilities could cause the application to crash and potentially allow an attacker to take control of the affected system.
These updates also incorporate the Adobe Flash Player updates as noted in Security Bulletin APSB11-12 and Security Bulletin APSB11-13. The update for Adobe Reader X (10.x) for Windows also incorporate the updates previously addressed in all other supported versions of Adobe Reader and Acrobat as noted in Security Bulletin APSB11-06 and Security Bulletin APSB11-08.
Adobe recommends users of Adobe Reader X (10.0.3) and earlier versions for Windows and Macintosh update to Adobe Reader X (10.1). For users of Adobe Reader 9.4.4 and earlier versions for Windows and Macintosh, who cannot update to Adobe Reader X (10.1), Adobe has made available updates, Adobe Reader 9.4.5 and Adobe Reader 8.3. Adobe Acrobat 10.0.2 Pro and Standard |
|
Wednesday, 23 March 2011 15:34 |
|
A critical vulnerability exists in Adobe Flash Player 10.2.152.33 and earlier versions (Adobe Flash Player 10.2.154.18 and earlier for Chrome users) for Windows, Macintosh, Linux and Solaris operating systems, Adobe Flash Player 10.1.106.16 and earlier versions for Android, and the Authplay.dll component that ships with Adobe Reader and Acrobat X (10.0.1) and earlier 10.x and 9.x versions of Reader and Acrobat for Windows and Macintosh operating systems.
This vulnerability (CVE-2011-0609) could cause a crash and potentially allow an attacker to take control of the affected system. There are reports that this vulnerability is being exploited in the wild in targeted attacks via a Flash (.swf) file embedded in a Microsoft Excel (.xls) file delivered as an email attachment. At this time, Adobe is not aware of attacks targeting Adobe Reader and Acrobat. Adobe Reader X Protected Mode mitigations would prevent an exploit of this kind from executing.
Adobe recommends users of Adobe Flash Player 10.2.152.33 and earlier versions (Adobe Flash Player 10.2.154.18 and earlier versions for Chrome users) for Windows, Macintosh, Linux, and Solaris operating systems update to Adobe Flash Player 10.2.153.1 (Adobe Flash Player 10.2.154.25 for Chrome users). Adobe recommends users of Adobe Flash Player 10.1.106.16 and earlier versions for Android update to Adobe Flash Player 10.2.153.1. Adobe recommends users of Adobe AIR 2.5.1 and earlier versions for Windows, Macintosh and Linux update to Adobe AIR 2.6. For more information, please refer to Security Bulletin APSB11-05.
Adobe recommends users of Adobe Acrobat X (10.0.1) for Windows update to Adobe Acrobat X (10.0.2). Because Adobe Reader X Protected Mode would prevent an exploit of this kind from executing, we are planning to address this issue in Adobe Reader X for Windows with the next quarterly security update for Adobe Reader, currently scheduled for June 14, 2011. For more information, please refer to Security Bulletin APSB11-06. For more information, see the Adobe Reader 10.0.2 Release Notes.
